One of the most popular uses for our yurts is providing luxury accommodation. The yurts can be assembled on permanent platforms, furnished with cosy interiors and wood burning stoves to create a comfortable and luxurious place for holiday makers to enjoy the outdoors. Smaller yurts can be added to the central living area to provide space for a bathroom or separate bedroom. Wood burning stoves heat the yurts fantastically and many of the yurts are used all year round.
Other yurts have been bought by youth projects or community projects for educational workshop spaces, Safari and Adventure Parks who use them for children’s birthday parties.
Red Kite Yurts come complete with the framework including double pine doors, canvas wall and tension band, roof and crown covers. Optional accessories include groundsheets and wood burning stoves.
Sizes available are from 8 foot to 24 foot in diameter. Red Kite Yurts are hand crafted by Paul Millard in his workshop, using traditional Kyrgyz steam-bent style of construction, in locally grown Scottish ash. All wood comes from renewable resources. A waterproof, 12oz flame retardant canvas replaces the felt covering.

Ordering will require careful thought to ensure that we construct your yurt to your own requirements. Yurts will be sewn with a cream 12oz flame retardant, waterproof canvas. However a variety of colours and weights are available.
We are happy to deliver and offer instruction to assemble and dismantle your yurt.
